The W+F K31 is a straight-pull bolt-action carbine chambered in 7.5x55 Swiss (GP11). Designed by Colonel Furrer at the Waffenfabrik Bern, it served as the standard-issue rifle of the Swiss Armed Forces from 1933 to 1958. This example, serial number 620828, is fitted with a W+F Bern competition diopter rear sight replacing the standard tangent sight — a configuration highly sought after by Swiss competitive shooters.
The carbine is in very good overall condition. The bluing is even and well preserved across the receiver and barrel. The walnut stock is solid, free of cracks or chips, with an honest patina from use. An original brown leather sling is fitted. A shooting club sticker is visible on the left side of the buttstock, indicating its sporting heritage.
