The Daniel Defense M4A1 is Daniel Defense’s heritage M4A1 : the authentic SOPMOD Block II configuration deployed by US Special Operations Command since 2005. It is built around the RIS II Picatinny quad rail handguard — the legendary rail chosen by the Department of Defense to replace Knight’s Armament rails on the vast majority of US military M4s — paired with the 14.5" cold hammer forged M4 profile barrel and extended flash suppressor pinned and welded (16" total length). The M4A1 SOPMOD Block II: SOCOM heritage

The M4A1 SOPMOD Block II configuration has been the operational military reference for the American M4A1 since 2005. Daniel Defense manufactures key components of this platform for US special forces : the RIS II rail was selected by the Department of Defense to replace Knight’s Armament rails on nearly the entire M4 fleet. The commercial Daniel Defense M4A1 reproduces exactly this military configuration : same rail, same barrel profile, same extended flash suppressor.

The Extended flash suppressor pinned & welded

The Daniel Defense Flash Suppressor Extended muzzle device is pinned and welded to the end of the 14.5" barrel, bringing total length to 16". This configuration is identical to that of the US military M4A1 : maximum flash reduction, authentic M4 silhouette, side-noise reduction.
