Overview
The Aimpoint Acro S-2 is a compact red dot sight developed specifically for ventilated-rib shotguns. Based on the second-generation ACRO platform, it combines a rugged enclosed design, an ultra-low mounting solution, and a large 9 MOA red dot for rapid, natural target acquisition.
The integrated carbon-fiber-reinforced mount installs directly onto the shotgun’s ventilated rib. Included interchangeable base plates fit most ribs measuring 6 to 12 mm wide and 1.3 to 3.6 mm thick.
9 MOA Red Dot
The 9 MOA red dot is designed for moving targets and rapid shots. Its large size supports immediate target acquisition, simplifies aiming, and naturally promotes consistent gun mounting and barrel alignment.
The sight operates at 1x, with no magnification and unlimited eye relief. It supports instinctive, both-eyes-open shooting for small game, waterfowl, upland hunting, and sporting-clay applications.
Low Ventilated-Rib Mount
The slim design has no protruding components that could interfere with the shooter’s view. With an optical-axis height of just 15 mm above the mounting-interface surface, the Acro® S-2 integrates naturally into a shotgun’s sight line.
The included interchangeable base plates adapt the mount to common ventilated-rib sizes. This approach avoids adding a separate rail and preserves handling that remains close to the shotgun’s original ergonomics.
Battery Life and Brightness
Powered by one 3 V CR2032 lithium battery, the Acro S-2 provides up to 50,000 hours, or more than five years, of continuous operation on one battery. The sight offers 10 brightness settings, including a maximum brightness level intended for bright-sky conditions.
This version is not compatible with night vision devices. It is designed for daytime hunting and sporting applications.
Enclosed Design and Durability
The enclosed housing protects the optical channel, reflective lens, and LED emitter from dust, moisture, and debris. Its compact high-strength aluminum construction is intended for regular hunting and sporting use.
The sight is submersible to 5 m / 15 ft. It is shock- and vibration-resistant for outdoor use and changing weather conditions.
